Hi there, and welcome! 👋

Diaryと書いたアイキャッチ画像 Diary

I’m a doctor, a mom of three, and I’m here to share our slightly chaotic family life with you.

I’ve got two older girls and a son in 5th grade. My youngest — my son — lives with a food allergy and a disability. Rounding out our crew of five is my husband: mild-mannered most of the time, but definitely not someone you want to cross 😅

Life around here is pure chaos, in the best and worst ways. A “calm, uneventful day” isn’t really a thing in our house. We get blindsided by accidents I never could have predicted, moments where all three kids leave me thinking “wait… why would you DO that?”, and plenty of situations that are stressful in the moment but hilarious in hindsight.

This blog is where I’ll be documenting all of it — the loud, unpredictable, wonderfully messy reality of raising three kids.

Here’s the thing about parenting three kids: there’s never enough time, and there’s never enough energy. And my son, who’s just a little bit extra special, needs more hands-on care than most. So I’m constantly on the hunt for ways to get through the day without running myself into the ground. Along the way, I’ve picked up all kinds of time-saving hacks, energy-saving shortcuts, and “give yourself a break” tricks — born purely out of necessity — and I’ll be sharing those here too.

Honestly, I wanted to start this blog the moment my son was born, just to document how he was growing. But life got in the way, and now he’s already in elementary school. Still, I want to write about his condition, because he’s a bit further along in years now, and I know there’s someone out there searching for exactly the kind of information I once needed.

When we first got his diagnosis, I searched everywhere for information myself — but because it’s such a rare condition, there was barely anything out there. I remember how scared and alone that made me feel. So if even one parent stumbles across this blog someday and finds a little of what they’re looking for, that would mean everything to me.

And on the days when you’re just exhausted and need someone to say “yep, same” — I hope this blog can be that for you too. If it makes you laugh even once, I’ll count that as a win.

Oh, one more thing — I’ve given my son a nickname 🤗

My son: Absolutely mad about Tomica toy cars, so he’s “Tommy”

Thanks so much for stopping by — I’m really glad you’re here! ❤️

See you in the next post!
